Exclamation Ryo Guide

How to figure out how much ryo your going to get for a win loss is pretty simple. But since there is about 26 different people that ask in chat every hour i thought i would make a quick guide for people to reference.

Ryo Gains Per Rank

Pink - 2 per win / 1 per loss / 3 per defend win
Bronze - 2 per win / 1 per loss / 3 per defend win
Silver - 3 per win / 1 per loss / 4 per defend win
Gold - 3 per win / 2 per loss / 4 per defend win
Red - 4 per win / 2 per loss / 5 per defend win
Purple - 4 per win / 2 per loss / 5 per defend win

Keep in mind, these are the maximums you can earn (without Ryo+)

Basic Concepts of Ryo Gain

*** In order to gain the max amount of ryo that your current rank allows you. Fighting opponents of the same rank or higher is required! ***

Examples

Red vs Red, Winner will earn 4
Red vs Pink, Winner will earn 2

- In order to gain another ryo per win/loss you will have to get a % of ryo gain equal to that of putting you withing .5 of the next ryo amount.

Example

If you earn 2 ryo for a fight.
You would require enough Ryo+ to get you to 2.5 in order to receive 3.

.5 of 2 would be 25%
So a Ryo+ total of 25% would earn you 3 ryo per fight instead of 2

Ryo+ % required for extra ryo

(Credit to Aenonar)

Gaining 1 ryo (loss at Pink / Bronze / Silver)

2 ryo, requires 50% Ryo+ (50% of 1 = .5) 1 + .5 = 1.5, rounds up to 2
3 ryo, requires 150% Ryo+ (150% of 1 = 1.5) 1 + 1.5 = 2.5, rounds up to 3
4 ryo, requires 250% Ryo+ (250% of 1 = 2.5) 1 + 2.5 = 3.5, rounds up to 4
5 ryo, requires 350% Ryo+ (350% of 1 = 3.5) 1 + 3.5 = 4.5, rounds up to 5
6 ryo, requires 450% Ryo+ (450% of 1 = 4.5) 1 + 4.5 = 5.5, rounds up to 6

Gaining 2 Ryo (win at Pink / Bronze, loss at Gold / Red / Purple)

3 ryo, requires 25% Ryo+ (25% of 2 = .5) 2 + .5 = 2.5, rounds up to 3
4 ryo, requires 75% Ryo+ (75% of 2 = 1.5) 2 + 1.5 = 3.5, rounds up to 4
5 ryo, requires 125% Ryo+ (125% of 2 = 2.5) 2 + 2.5 = 4.5, rounds up to 5
6 ryo, requires 175% Ryo+ (175% of 2 = 3.5) 2 + 3.5 = 5.5, rounds up to 6
7 ryo, requires 225% Ryo+ (225% of 2 = 4.5) 2 + 4.5 = 6.5, rounds up to 7

Gaining 3 Ryo (win at Silver / Gold , defend win at Pink / Bronze )

4 ryo, requires 17% Ryo+ (17% of 3 = .51) 3 + .51 = 3.51, rounds up to 4
5 ryo, requires 50% Ryo+ (50% of 3 = 1.5) 3 + 1.5 = 4.5, rounds up to 5
6 ryo, requires 84% Ryo+ (84% of 3 = 2.52) 3 + 2.52 = 5.52, rounds up to 6
7 ryo, requires 117% Ryo+ (117% of 3 = 3.51) 3 + 3.51 = 6.51, rounds up to 7
8 ryo, requires 150% Ryo+ (150% of 3 = 4.5) 3 + 4.5 = 7.5, rounds up to 8
9 ryo, requires 184% Ryo+ (184% of 3 = 5.52) 3 + 5.52 = 8.52, rounds up to 9

Gaining 4 Ryo (win at Red / Purple, defend win at Silver / Gold )

5 ryo, requires 13% Ryo+ (13% of 4 = .52) 4 + .52 = 4.52, rounds up to 5
6 ryo, requires 38% Ryo+ (38% of 4 = 1.52) 4 + 1.52 = 5.52, rounds up to 6
7 ryo, requires 63% Ryo+ (63% of 4 = 2.52) 4 + 2.52 = 6.52, rounds up to 7
8 ryo, requires 88% Ryo+ (88% of 4 = 3.52) 4 + 3.52 = 7.52, rounds up to 8
9 ryo, requires 113% Ryo+ (113% of 4 = 4.52) 4 + 4.52 = 8.52, rounds up to 9
10 ryo, requires 138% Ryo+ (138% of 4 = 5.52) 4 + 5.52 = 9.52, rounds up to 10
11 ryo, requires 163% Ryo+ (163% of 4 = 6.52) 4 + 6.52 = 10.52, rounds up to 11

Gaining 5 Ryo (Defend win at Red / Purple )

6 ryo, requires 10% Ryo+ (10% of 5 = .5) 5 + .5 = 5.5, rounds up to 6
7 ryo, requires 30% Ryo+ (30% of 5 = 1.5) 5 + 1.5 = 6.5, rounds up to 7
8 ryo, requires 50% Ryo+ (50% of 5 = 2.5) 5 + 2.5 = 7.5, rounds up to 8
9 ryo, requires 70% Ryo+ (70% of 5 = 3.5) 5 + 3.5 = 8.5, rounds up to 9
10 ryo, requires 90% Ryo+ (90% of 5 = 4.5) 5 + 4.5 = 9.5, rounds up to 10
11 ryo, requires 110% Ryo+ (110% of 5 = 5.5) 5 + 5.5 = 10.5, rounds up to 11

Make sure to explain how you must be fighting someone of similar or higher rank to get the full ryo.

What Lunar said, remember to include all aspects of gaining ryo. I'm not sure if this guide completely qualifies for this forum yet, but as it looks very promising, I'll let it stay here. Though, if I don't see any updates within a week or so, I'll make it a sticky in the 'Teams and Strategies' forum instead.

Nice Bahamut. This will definitely be a useful guide for the community. Not many people understand how the math goes, and a lot of people ask this in the chatroom as you've obviously noticed.

My only suggestion is maybe a short detail about the different ways of achieving +ryo. This will help flesh out the guide a bit further too to satisfy Minaro's requirements hopefully. From the most common Kono Trio w/200s, Iruka/Ebisu w/400s, Mech bird; to the Kage item, and Legendaries, etc. that can help people reach a ryo percentage. Maybe a sum of how much it'd cost to get the basic setup going, etc. Just throwing out some quick ideas.

Anyway, 88% is what I've found to be an optimal level for the general player to aim for. Easily obtained and gives the best bang for buck due to how you can still have a relatively strong lineup using just iruka/ebisu, and a decently leveled mech bird. Obviously, there's a drawback of reaching say 113% to get an extra ryo per win if it means you'll lose the majority of battles.

haha cool, between you and Reversal, we'll have two threads to send people to when they ask a commonly asked question. I think close to a third of the questions asked in the chat are about LW or how to get ryo lol.

just a small correction I noticed:

You have listed Kakuzu's Endless Hearts as a Multi-user ability (not sure if that means a combo or just an ability available to more than on ninja) and forgot to list the actual ryo+%

It's a single user Technique and gives ryo+10% and named Unlimited Hearts

Thanks for the guide!

I was looking at the item's each current village kage has equipped and got these:

Nekage's Hat:
+40 ninja Exp
+20% Ryo gain
+10 Water damage

Hokage's Hat:
+40 ninja Exp
+20% Ryo gain
+10 Fire damage

Kazekage's Hat:
+40% ninja Exp
+20% ryo gain
+10 wind damage

Shinkage's Armor:
+10 TAI immunity
+10 NIN immunity
+10 ryo gain

These were the only one's I saw that had ryo gain. but keep in mind that I only saw those kage items which the teams chose to buy and currently had equipped, so I am sure there are others. if there is a Shinkage hat I would bet that it has +20 ryo gain as well.

Hokage Prices

This might help. Also, only the Hat adds ryo for Hokage items.

I think the base price for those items are 25% higher, since all items get a price cut of 20% when you're Kage. For example, the Robes would cost 750 ryo rather than 600 if they were available without being Kage. The only thing it'd matter for would be selling price, though.

Maybe we can have Lunar confirm that? Name the selling price for one of your Kage items.
